Since 2009, the general dentists at SmilesRForever have been recognized each year as a Preferred Invisalign® Provider which is part of the Invisalign Advantage Program that recognizes a select group of Invisalign-trained doctors who have achieved a qualifying level of Invisalign experience.
When considering treatment for a crooked smile, patients often ask, “What option is better for me and why?” With Invisalign, treatment is often faster and patients experience less decay or periodontal issues. This is because users can remove the aligner and clean their teeth easier than having “traditional bands and brackets”. Invisalign patients have less emergency office visits without wires or brackets to come loose and poke them in the mouth.
In 2011, SmilesRForever dentists introduced and began using digital scanning techniques to replace regular impressions which can sometimes make a patient gag. With digital impressions, treatment is easier and faster due to the increased accuracy of the scans.
Drs. Blattner & Heberer together have over a century of experience straightening smiles using Invisalign, orthopedic/orthodontic appliances, and braces. Phase 1 treatment is recommended for children who exhibit early signs of jaw problems. Children, starting at age 7, can benefit from Phase 1 treatment by wearing an appliance that helps to create a good foundation for their adult teeth. These appliances can be upper, lower, or both. Most appliances expand the jaw to accomodate teeth, but they can also correct jaw shape and help create an optimal relationship between the upper and lower jaw. Since children are growing rapidly this is the best time to do interceptive treatment and it can cut down on the time neccessary for phase 2 treatment. Phase 2 treatment begins when all baby teeth have been lost and all adult teeth have come in.
In our continuous effort to provide the best in orthodontic treatment for our patients, we are proud to offer Propel®, an advanced orthodontic technique that works with your braces or aligners to fast track your orthodontic treatment. This exciting technology allows us to get most patients finished early, sometimes in half or a third of the usual time. While each patient varies, many patients can now have their orthodontic treatment completed in just months instead of years!
Propel® works with your own biology to stimulate the bone surrounding your teeth; helping the teeth to move faster and more predictably into their ideal position so we can reveal your new smile faster and in fewer visits to our office.
We provide Propel for Invisalign and braces, offering complimentary consultations to all. If you would like to accelerate your orthodontic treatment today, then ask us about Propel®!
It took time, effort, and investment to create your confident and beautiful smile. To make sure it lasts, consider Vivera® retainers from the makers of Invisalign®. Whether you’ve used Invisalign or traditional braces, you can benefit from Vivera retainers.
Studies show that without retainers straight teeth can gradually shift back towards their initial position. This is a common occurrence with all orthodontic treatment, but is one that can easily be overcome. Wearing Vivera retainers after traditional braces or Invisalign treatment means you are keeping your teeth in their new position and protecting your smile and investment.
Vivera retainers are custom made for you with the same state-of-the-art technology used to make Invisalign aligners. Because the retainers are custom made from a digital scan of your teeth, you will benefit from a more precise and more comfortable fit. Your smile is digitally scanned (no gooey impression), stored in a computer file, and 8 retainers (4 sets) are fabricated out of an advanced clear plastic. These will last for years and years but if you would ever need more retainers, the original 3-D digital record of your just finished straight smile is used to make new retainers to keep your smile perfect.
